Been there .. done that !!

It just feels so surrealistic .. the very thought of Saeed Anwar's highest score ever being surpassed!! The Mt. Everest being conquered !! Only one man could do it ... should have done it and so very rightly ... He has DONE it !
Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar aka SRT has finally done it, while he had almost been there in several earlier occasions. This was the Magnum Opus that everyone was waiting for from the God !
The deft flicks, the hefty heaves.. the inside outs ..cut loosing at will... you name it and He played it..
A chance-less innings which I'm trying to make a note of only because this is one day I'l treasure for a really long time to come!
I had been there while the Little Master reached the double hundred!!
I have seen him Live on T.V. when he actually reached the 200 mark !!
I was being the truant kid in skipping my team meeting to be there !
This should be rated along with the best of my cricketing memories ... the very nostalgic .. just before the Class X, CBSE Social Studies Special Onslaught against Pakistan at Centurion (think so..)!
It was .. to say the least.. though a bit harsh ... irritating to see Dhoni take singles off the last ball of every over for the 45-50 over period. May be it was Sachin who requested this .. or otherwise, a billion other people wanted The Superman on strike !
Thank you Sachin !! for all those innings which kept coming and been refreshing our memories ..

PS - You can watch the teasers to quench your thirst for this innings @ SRT on 198!  and Over # 50!

What's the unsaid ??

Did I read somewhere that most of the communication is non verbal ?? Then why is it that we still cling to every bit of verbal communication? and are upset when we do not get the required cues in verbal form. Is the tenuity of it playing a part? Doesn't too much explicitness take away the legitimacy of the whole expression in itself? Why doesn't an overdose of it sound like fawning?
Why is it that people still sway at the very instance of a said expression that is clearly over the top? Everyone wants to be loved for sure! They only crave for it more and more.
When has Love transmogrified into a lame spell bee competition??? You say it and only then you WIN it! Did your parents ever tell you how much they love you day in day out ? Did you not take things for granted with them ? Did your siblings come up to you and thank you profusely for a birthday gift? Did you realise that they loved you/vice versa only after such tete a tete instances? If yes, pity you!!
Care/Love doesn't stem from a "Good Morning Darling" or an "I love you".....
A "Thank You" I opine should not be considered in the same league since you generally thank people with whom you are more formal and feel a general obligation to appreciate his/her help. A Taxi Driver/Bearer/Usher.. or someone you help cross a busy road ... all these illustrate an unsaid obligation which you are trying to acknowledge with a "thanks".

... Though still a part of me wants to yell out as many verbal expressions to all those I've loved, I still find it lame on my/their part to do/expect so. DO NOT dismiss this off as mere callousness. I just find it unnecessary.. or do I ?? .. If all the people in the world were like me, then definitely HELL YES !! ..
Alas! .. it isn't the case. I still have to try my best to convince them that I still love/value them. Silence is no more golden..its just a pale yellow hue....

Please read this from Harold Pinter
"There are two silences. One when no word is spoken. The other when perhaps a torrent of language is being employed. This speech is speaking of a language locked beneath it. That is its continual reference. The speech we hear is an indication of that which we don't hear. It is a necessary avoidance, a violent, sly, anguished or mocking smoke screen which keeps the other in its place. When true silence falls we are still left with echo but are nearer nakedness. One way of looking at speech is to say that it is a constant stratagem to cover nakedness.

We have heard many times that tired, grimy phrase: 'failure of communication' … and this phrase has been fixed to my work quite consistently. I believe the contrary. I think that we communicate only too well, in our silence, in what is unsaid, and that what takes place is a continual evasion, desperate rearguard attempts to keep ourselves to ourselves. Communication is too alarming. To enter into someone else's life is too frightening. To disclose to others the poverty within us is too fearsome a possibility.

I am not suggesting that no character in a play can never say what he in fact means. Not at all. I have found that there invariably does come a moment when this happens, when he says something, perhaps, which he has never said before. And where this happens, what he says is irrevocable, and can never be taken back"

P.S. When is it that eyes will be considered as windows to the soul.. not in some form of literature biting dust.... but shall transform into a trite means of expression. I shall wait for that day to let myself speak of my Love for someone/something..
PPS- Amit's post real caught me off guard
