Sandwiched between a TGIF and a NGIM ..... and fear losing the weekend!

By the time this realisation dawns.... its already dawn and just this day left before NGIM starts ...haunting... hunting ...(watever) again !

These are exactly the thoughts that take one whizzing along on this "Road of Perdition"...

PS- TGIF - Thank God Its Friday (almost ubiquitous once @ work)

PPS-NGIM- No God Its Monday (ditto, albeit a far less famous one! ... Coined by yours truly)

Swear to GOD !! ..

This is it !! .... Wanna know a single reason why Id go ahead n learn to play guitar????

I swore to God("uncliched").... that Id not die before I learn to play this song! .... (after this moved me to tears NOW)...

The first time when I heard this on a night show on Radio (long before I had "listened"-I mean not just some fleeting auditory sensation, to Link in Park), it had left me speechless... simply because I had been deeply drawn into my dreamworld by the time this masterpiece had culminated....

This time ... I read the lyrics and crooned this "sanctified" piece and ........

It happened that.... that I could no more read the lyrics ..... for one, I knew most of them by now ... and other, 'cos my eyes were moist .....

Hats off Bob Dylan..... I know he must've composed a zillion other songs far better than this as u might feel ....

But this is "................" (blame it on my vocab) .... cant u give a better insight.. than ...

Imagine all my ranting on this space going in vain !! All my raving about the way I get up just disappear like that !!

OMG(removed the F to avoid Blog Flagging :P)!!!! Imagine waking up .. forget waking up .. Il giv u something worse ... Imagine staying awake all night just because u cudnt sleep though u wanted desperately too ... though u had to loads of wrk next day !! . Nevr mind .. STAY AWAKE is the dictum!

WHaaaaiiiiii !!???!!?? ?!?? .... I yell out in vain ... But... I cant hear myself (Sounds too phony...Trust me its true ..)

Then the relisation dawns .... the enlightenment sets in !! .. Ive found my own Bodhi Vruksh in this menagerie ..... where the wild has been let loose !!

Oh... screw me !! .. Was I once in this melee too ??!? ... Was I being the muddlehead all these years that this younger lot too will someday realise?? ... hopefully soon !

Paranoid Android ...!?!?

Work has Finally started to have its effects !!

-It has killed the "Creative Genius" in me .....n making me an Android... and

-It now makes me paranoid ! ....

College had the perfect blend .... It was a zoo !! ... Good n Bad ... Dudes n Duds .. some Hot n Cool....

A Workplace is NO University...

Never more was the dichotomy less vivid...Everyones a Suck up! There are diktats....Everybody dresses well and U finally have to .. U need to ... ! Its a Factory !! ...

Offshoot of this phenomena is what has given rise to paranoia ! ...

- To wake up at the right time and in the RIGHT WAY! ..

-To dress up well ..

-Forget things at home... Naaat!!

Right time is pretty obvious, being just an hour before work... but Right way is .... a bit nostalgic...

Remember the gud old times when mom used to draw the curtains and let the sun fall into your dreary eyes so that u knew it was 7 am and had to get ready to school.... (Every night before sleep I used tell myself to stop hating this feeling !) ..

As u grew older and moms n dads got busier with their daily chores, u had the worst thing in history of TIME happen- Introduction to Wake Up alarms !!

The whole of last weekend was well spent on alarms, selecting the Least intruding and Most potent at that ! Mind you ... not an easy job for one who needs half hour of dedicated attention to get himself out of bed !! .. from Titanic to Dhan Te Naa ... been there ..but never woke up!

Well... well... the story goes on.... onnn.. n yaawnn.... heres another week coming to an end .. and still sulking about the way I get up! ...

P.S. The alarm tone goes something like the old factory siren ud have heard !! .... :P ...sonorous to the core..!!!

PPS - Very much open to suggestions on the alarm tone!

PPPS- Sigh !! .. (one too many) ... A zoo is btr than a Factory .. guffaw :)
